Jamie is back and he's got some new tricks up his sleeve 🎉🎉🎉

There are a few things you should know about below. Have fun!

Permissions

Jamie needs the following permissions to work properly. He'll do his best if some are missing.

  • Send Messages
  • Manage Messages
  • Embed Links
  • Attach Files
  • Read Message History
  • Add Reactions
  • Use External Emojis

Gold Star Configuration

Gold Star is a feature for quoting and saving messages. These can be funny moments, thought-provoking quotes, messages that are funny out of context, or just something you want to remember.

To enable the Gold Star feature, we recommend the following:

  1. Create a channel to hold quotes for your channel.

    Name it something like Quotes or Best of. Any name works 👍

  2. Set the channel to be read-only. Only Jamie should be allowed to send messages in the channel. This step is not required. More info about how to do this here.

  3. Use the command !quotechannel #channel-name where channel-name is the name of your newly created channel. This tells Jamie where to post quotes.

  4. You're ready to go! React to any message in with a ⭐ :star: and Jamie will post it in the channel you mentioned in the last step.

    If Jamie isn't posting messages in your quote channel, re-follow the steps above and verify that Jamie has permission to post messages in the quote channel.

Only the server owner or users with the Administrator permission can set or change the gold star channel.

NSFW Content

Jamie checks if the current channel is NSFW and will not post adult content in non-NSFW channels. Some commands will only work in NSFW channels. See how to make a channel NSFW
